White Campion is evening elegance with a wild little wink. By day, it is pretty enough. By evening, it starts to show off. White flowers open, scent drifts through the air, and moths begin arriving like they have been personally invited to a very exclusive drinks party.

Brilliant for pollinators, especially night flying insects, this is a wildflower for people who understand that gardens should not clock off at 6pm.

White Campion likes sun or partial shade, open ground, and low competition. It works well in meadow edges, hedgerow style planting, borders, and wild corners.

Rip - Clear weeds, grass, and debris. Rake the soil so you have a loose, open surface.

Scatter - Scatter the seed thinly across the soil.

Sow - Press the seed gently into the surface so it makes contact. Do not bury it deeply.

When to sow - For best results sow from August to November. You can also sow from March to May.

Where to sow - Choose a sunny or partly shaded spot with free draining soil and low competition. White Campion is happy on meadow edges, hedge lines, and relaxed wild planting.

After sowing, keep the soil lightly moist while the seeds get going.

Once you can see green shoots, keep big weeds and thick grass away. Do not feed it. White Campion does not need rich soil or too much fuss.

After flowering, leave some seed heads standing if you want it to self seed. If too many seedlings pop up next year, pull out extras while they are small.

White Campion usually flowers from May to September, producing white evening flowers with a sweet scent.

It typically grows around 30 to 90 cm tall, giving soft height and a relaxed wild feel.

As a perennial or short lived perennial, it can return and self seed where happy. Bees may visit by day, moths take the evening shift, and your garden gets a little after hours magic.

Yes, White Campion can grow in pots.

Use a medium pot with drainage holes. Fill it with peat free, low nutrient compost mixed with sharp sand or grit to keep it free draining.

Scatter the seed thinly, press it in gently, and place the pot in sun or partial shade. Keep lightly moist while the seeds get going. Once growing, water when the compost starts to dry out.
