Woodland Meadow 100% Wildflower Seed Mix
Regular price
£20.99

Bluebells, foxgloves, wild garlic and the faint possibility of an enchanted badger. Woodland flowers have an ancient, storybook quality that ordinary bedding plants simply cannot fake.
This 100% mix contains no added grasses and is designed for dappled shade, hedge lines and open woodland edges.
This is a 100% wildflower mix.
Wildflowers included:
When to sow
For best results, sow from March to May or August to October.
Where to sow
Choose dappled shade, open woodland edges or beneath trees where some light still reaches the ground.
How to sow
Remove existing grass and weeds to expose bare soil. Lightly rake the surface, scatter the seed evenly, then gently press or tread it into the soil. Do not bury the seed deeply.
Sowing rate
3 g per m².
Measurements and timings are only a guide. Growing is not an exact science, so do not worry if everything is not perfectly placed.
Keep damp during germination and remove leaves or weeds that smother young seedlings. Do not feed. Cut back after flowering where appropriate
Flowering
From spring through late summer, depending on the species.
Height
Around 20 cm to 1.5 metres.
What to expect
Woodland flowers often establish slowly. Some species may need more than one season before flowering, but the planting should become increasingly natural over time.
Wildlife value
The flowers provide pollen and nectar for bees, butterflies, hoverflies and other visiting insects.
We want your seeds to grow. If you follow our sowing instructions, give them a fair chance, and they still do not grow, we’ll put it right.
Eligible customers can choose either a refund for the seeds that did not grow, or replacement seeds of the same value.
