Pet-Friendly 100% Wildflower Seed Mix
Regular price
£25.99

A riot of colour for gardens shared with dogs, cats, children and the occasional badly supervised tennis ball.
This 100% wildflower mix contains eight species selected to avoid plants commonly associated with pet toxicity. It is designed to be lower risk, pollinator friendly and full of proper meadow character.
This is a 100% wildflower mix.
Wildflowers included:
When to sow
For best results, sow from March to May or August to October.
Where to sow
Choose bare soil in sun or light partial shade. Avoid rich, heavily fertilised or waterlogged ground.
How to sow
Remove existing grass and weeds to expose bare soil. Lightly rake the surface, scatter the seed evenly, then gently press or tread it into the soil. Do not bury the seed deeply.
Sowing rate
3 g per m².
Measurements and timings are only a guide. Growing is not an exact science, so do not worry if everything is not perfectly placed.
Keep damp while the seeds germinate, remove obvious weeds anddo not feed. Leave some seed heads before cutting back. Pets
should still be discouraged from eating plants in quantity.
Flowering
Late spring through summer.
Height
Approximately 30 cm to 80 cm.
What to expect
Annual flowers may provide first year colour, while the perennial species become stronger over time. No planting will look identical from one season to the next.
Wildlife value
The flowers provide pollen and nectar for bees, butterflies, hoverflies and other visiting insects.
We want your seeds to grow. If you follow our sowing instructions, give them a fair chance, and they still do not grow, we’ll put it right.
Eligible customers can choose either a refund for the seeds that did not grow, or replacement seeds of the same value.
